Babies are wired to connect. From birth, they love to look at your face and are soothed by your voice and smell. They can’t talk but they can communicate. Every expression, movement, coo, gurgle and cry means something. Over time, your baby will understand more and eventually begin to speak – but long before that, you’ll start to understand them.
